IWSG: December 2nd 2020

Are there months or times of the year that you are more productive with your writing than other months, and why?

I never thought of this before. It took me a while to think about if I am more productive at different times. I tend to work equally all year round. However, specific times of the year can bring inspiration. Perhaps sometimes I see myself getting inspired to work on certain projects based upon seasons, weather, occasions or holidays. I guess I can say I tend to work more on these specific projects on these specific events. It can be considered more productivity for that particular project.

For instance, for my Polar Qimuktis which is an Arctic based series, I do find more inspiration when it snows. When it snows, I just get a burst of ideas and excitement for arctic adventure. I think it's perfect for the series. There's also lots of scenes of summer. I can also find inspiration to work during these days on specific scenes.

When the snow melts and it's Spring or Summer, I think I see more inspiration for manga because most anime/manga takes place in the summer. However, many of my projects also happen in the Spring and Summer. Although I always say Winter is my favourite season, I do love the Spring and Summer. Actually, my favourite season changed to Autumn.

Perhaps this doesn't technically answer the question, but this is as close as I can get. I don't think I get more productive at more times than others. I've always strived to be productive all the time, no matter what.
